On June 25, 2018 the mid-term contractual meeting of the EU project BESTOFRAC took place at Institute of Continuum Mechanics at the Leibniz University Hanover, hosted by Prof. Peter Wriggers and organized by Prof. Timon Rabczuk from Bauhaus Universität Weimar. As participating coordinator of the Sofja Kowalevskaja Group from the Institute of Continuum Mechanics, Dr. Xiaoying Zhuang, welcomed Prof. David Smeulders from Eindhoven University of Technology and 20 participants from Hannover, Weimar, Nürnberg and countries like Italy, China, Ecuador, United Kingdom and the Netherlands.
All project overviews were presented and discussed to continue with the project challenges.
