- Abstract
Within the thermo-mechanical analysis of contact problems a special staggered scheme is developed which includes the use of different finite element meshes to solve the thermal and mechanical part of the contact problem. To account proper for the unilateral constraint special error indicators are developed which include a special choice of patches for the stress recovery within the contact area. Furthermore a local error indication in time is derived for the thermal heat conductance equation based on a time-space discretization which uses a continuous Galerkin scheme for the time integration.
